1941 just doesn't work as a movie. You can see the money on the screen, and Spielberg stages some spectacular sequences, but everything moves too quickly. There's no room to breathe. Unlike Raiders of the Lost Ark, where the action, humor, and quieter moments all work together, 1941 never finds that balance. It's one chaotic set piece after another. There are simply too many things happening at once, and most of it just isn't very funny. If you pulled out a few individual scenes, they might work on their own, but as a complete film it feels overcrowded and exhausting. You can clearly see Spielberg's talent behind the camera, but all the impressive pieces never come together into a movie that works.

Youcan watch this over and over again, I never get tired of this movie! This one and The Blues Brothers are worth watching! This movie it's not for all tastes. It gets a bad rep, and admittedly it is trying a little too hard to be funny at times, but it has a hell of a great cast! Would recommend it

I don't care what those woke ass critics say, John Belushi was great in this movie and we cant forget the iconic scene with Slim Pickens and his ride. this is just a great comedy movie about how Japan was going to try and attack Calif during WWII.

All the cinematography, set, costume and score you'd expect from a Spielberg movie. Loaded with Comedy legends. But def a dud.

Nothing about this film is good.. It’s disjointed, clumsy, awkward, far-fetched, not funny, and has a really dumb plot. And somehow, it even made John Belushi look bad.

It is a quirky film that parodies the era. I loved it😁
