A three-part story of Norway's worst terrorist attack in which over seventy people were killed. 22 July looks at the disaster itself, the survivors, Norway's political system and the lawyers who worked on this horrific case.
Where to Watch 22 July
- ClaireMay 2, 2026A difficult film to "rate" due to the nature and content. I would have liked to have seen more about the victims, who were they? A deeper understanding of the huge loss and I don't think this film quite reflected that. There was a definite focus on Breivik, perhaps too much. Maybe consent wasn't given by families but I think Greengrass was remiss in not having a list of names/faces of the victims at the end. It's their names and their faces that should be remembered, not his.
- Baloo UrizaMarch 23, 2025This, sadly, feels more like watching the news than a historical drama. Also went a little too hard on the gore and not hard enough on the suspense to be particularly engaging during the first half. The voice work is also miserable. Could you please pick a lane if you're going to be speaking American English or broken English with a bad, somehow Spanish-sounding, accent?
