That probably tells you everything you need to know. There’s nothing here that sticks: no standout performances, no memorable mystery, no real tension, and no emotional hook to justify its existence. Calling this a Christmas movie feels generous. Yes, it technically takes place at that time of year, but beyond a calendar setting there’s very little festive spirit, atmosphere, or thematic connection to Christmas itself. If you removed the decorations and changed the date, nothing about the story would meaningfully change. It’s not offensively bad, it’s worse than that — it’s completely forgettable. The kind of film that plays in front of you and leaves no trace behind. I finished it and immediately struggled to recall specific plot points, characters, or moments worth mentioning. For a mystery, that’s a fatal flaw. This gets a half star only because the scale requires it.
