"There's a difference between not wanting something, and being afraid to want it." This movie absolutely nails everything. A couple of big laughs, a couple of teary eyed moments. It's light and quick paced at the right times, slow and nuanced at others, it gives pretty much every character some room to breathe and grow. Full on fun and heartwarming. Awesome.

The film is moderately amusing, but the awkwardness of the Indian guy is something hard to relate to, unless you have cultural restrictions placed upon who you love and want to marry. Of course it's all happy families in the end. Nobody will win an Oscar for their performance, but it's passable entertainment.
  • Rarely does a film come along that is as effortlessly charming, deeply heartfelt, and laugh-out-loud funny as A Nice Indian Boy. This beautifully crafted romantic dramedy takes a fresh, sincere, and utterly delightful look at love, family, and cultural expectations-all wrapped in a warm, feel-good package that will leave audiences smiling long after the credits roll.

This is surprisingly funny and nice. The mother stole the show for me.

Surprisingly unmoving and with little depth. More like a Hallmark Channel film without the warmth. The Jonathan Groff character has no motivation to stay with his neurotic boyfriend, and his character lacks a lot of explanation- just a few facts about a difficult youth. Skip it.

This is a feel-good movie, that will bring a smile to your face. A love story can be many things though, difficult, happy and joyful. This movie is all of these things and is very well put together.
