Boring people shush one another to oblivion while indestructible aliens run around until the protagonists discover that if they shoot the aliens it will cause them to die. But apart from that the aliens are totally impossible to vanquish. They have obliterated all of the armies on Earth. You can't beat them. Unless you shoot them. Ok, noted.

Emily Blunt has perfect feet. The movie was decent too.

A shocking and unnerving movie, will have you on the edge the whole time and very creative with the use of a quiet atmosphere and how sign language is used throughout the film!
  • ZokkiieFebruary 3, 2026
This is just a super tense, creative thriller that keeps you locked in from start to finish. The near-silence makes every scene feel stressful in the best way, and the performances sell the emotional stakes. The sound design is easily the standout and does a lot of the heavy lifting. The pacing is sharp and rarely drags. A few moments feel a bit convenient, but overall it’s a really solid and memorable watch.

I don't normally like movies, but I can tell you what: this movie I especially hated.
  • MofobianDecember 28, 2025
I really enjoyed this movie. It was built on tension rather than gore, which is usually better. In this case, it absolutely was.

With its brilliant use of silence and tension, it delivers some of the most nerve-wracking moments ever put on film. Not only is it one of the best horror films to date, but it also stands as the greatest PG-13 horror film ever made, proving that you don’t need an R-rating to create unforgettable terror.

A tense, near-silent nightmare that grips from the first step. Every sound feels like a death sentence. Emotion and fear walk hand in hand. Minimal, brilliant, and deeply haunting

⭐⭐⭐⭐½ – A Quiet Place – Silence That Screams A Quiet Place is one of those rare horror films that understands exactly how to weaponise silence. Instead of jump scares and loud chaos, it uses the absence of sound to build an almost physical tension — the kind that crawls up your spine and refuses to let go. It’s a masterclass in restraint, proving you don’t need an R-rating or buckets of gore to create genuine terror. Sometimes all you need is a single twig snapping in the wrong place. The world feels lived in and dangerous, but what truly elevates it is how human it is. Every choice, every risk, every heartbreak is grounded in the family at the centre of it all. Emily Blunt and John Krasinski bring a raw, quietly desperate strength to their roles, showing parents trying to protect their children in a world where even a whispered reassurance can get you killed. Their fear isn’t abstract — it’s parental, primal, and instantly relatable. And the sound design… it’s astonishing. Every rustle, breath, and vibration feels amplified, pulling you into the characters’ headspace until you catch yourself holding your own breath. When the creatures appear, their presence feels earned — not overused, not overstated, simply a natural extension of the tension that’s been building from the opening frame. It’s intimate, terrifying, emotional, and beautifully made — a reminder that horror can be quiet, smart, and deeply affecting. 🍷 Pairing: A still glass of red — no bubbles, no fizz, nothing loud. Just quiet, steady weight… the kind that makes every tiny sound around you feel suddenly important.

An excellent horror movie. The tension is always there. The sound effects are awesome which is important since the plot revolves around sound, and it makes this a very unique experience. The characters are very human and relatable. The visual effects are flawless, CGI on point. This movie makes for an intense evening, loved every minute of it. Definitely a must watch from me.

Amazing tension. As one who dislikes horror movies, this one feels like a breath of fresh air for the genre. Make stuff like this, not goofy ahh possessed dolls and ghosts and crap
