Two brothers in New Delhi have dedicated their lives to rescuing a species of bird called black kites that have been falling out of the sky in ever increasing numbers as the air quality progressively deteriorates. The brothers laugh off theoretical threats of nuclear war in the news, have protests and violence in the streets miles from their hospital, periodically have sewage overflowing onto their floors, yet the brothers remain singularly focused on their mission. Worth checking out as it’s nominated for best documentary feature at the Oscars this year. Compelling nature documentary that feels like an environmentalist warning, without explicitly stating as much.
- macaronzApril 7, 2026Very thoughtful documentary these guys are doing excellent work one thing I noticed while watching this documentary film, there's religious instability in India and violence against minorities which is very painful to watch. Worth watching highly recommended if you care about birds and animals even humans.
