Where to Watch Alligator
- *Alligator* (1980) takes the familiar giant-creature concept and gives it a decent story, elevating what could have been a forgettable B movie into something genuinely watchable. None of it is particularly believable, but the filmmakers add enough substance to make the movie about more than a giant beast attacking people. I would not call it great, but it is solidly average. If you enjoy this kind of creature feature, the story makes it worth watching.
- My quick rating - 5.8/10. I will say this one held up through time. I still like the creative use of miniature sets and a full-size alligator for the effect of it looking huge. So in this giant animal on the loose, it wasn't some toxic waste that made it grow gigantic just good old-fashioned sewage and gasses after being flushed down the toilet. I am sure you can put this one together on what happens so check it out. I still enjoyed it, then again, I did like the first Lake Placid which I am sure you notice they watched this one.
- Interesting B-Movie....(Storyline based in or possibly the source behind a very popular urban legend...).and awesomely done for the time period it was created....I personally am a big fan of B-Movies...but to be fair to anyone who reads this review, if you're not a true movie lover this or any other B-movie may not be for you...
