- CapSweyMarch 10, 2026Expectations were pretty low from the start, but the movie succeeded to dive even lower (!). Huub Stapel was nice, but the effects and the (lack of a) story are cringe-inducingly bad. There is never a moment of tension and all nostaliga is overboard (!). Besides shoving meat substitutes down your throat there is one other similarity Amsterdamned has with the city of Amsterdam: Once appealing and great, now utter garbage with a lack of identity.... and it will probably never recover from it.
