Where to Watch Arco
- Kevin WardJanuary 3, 2026Loved this. Loved the sci-fi world building and the ghibli-esque whimsical nature. Was actually enjoying the english dub, until it got to Will Ferrell’s lines. Took me out of it every time because it just sounds like his Zoolander or SNL characters. Switched to the original french audio and that is probably the best way to enjoy it. Really liked the animation style as well.
- Atomic70June 5, 2026Arco is a visual contradiction that never stops undermining itself. The backgrounds are gorgeous — rich, textured, and genuinely stunning — and then the characters appear looking flat, plasticky, and almost offensively cheap by comparison. The rainbow gradient on their suits doesn’t help; it looks like a leftover preset from the very first version of Adobe, the kind of gradient you’d only use by accident. Narratively, it’s just as messy. The three creepy brothers feel pointless, the neighbor kid adds nothing, and Arco behaves like a spoiled child while Iris somehow manages to be ungrateful at every turn. And if they can travel through time… why can’t they return to a different past? The film never even tries to explain its own rules. The robot losing its memory is the final straw — a clumsy emotional shortcut that lands with a thud. The whole movie feels like it was subcontracted to several animation studios who never communicated, then stitched together at the end with the hope that no one would notice. But you notice. Constantly. I didn’t like it at all. Not even for a moment.
- PhoenixJune 2, 2026Really interesting story and setting, and emotionally it really works, and feels fresh and interesting to me. The only thing i feel lets it down a little is the animation style is quite stiff. It feels like the world is very locked in to 3d models, which saps some of the energy and dynamic feel of the story out, but the story's good enough to carry it anyway. Worth a watch
