Where to Watch Beauty & the Briefcase
- CallumDecember 29, 2025⭐⭐ – Beauty and the Briefcase – Vapid, glossy, and exactly as advertised. This is yet another modern spin on Beauty and the Beast, and it’s about as lightweight as the cover suggests. There’s no real depth here, no clever subversion, and no ambition to be anything other than a shiny, disposable rom-com. That said, it’s also perfectly watchable in the way Hillary Duff films often are. The tone is breezy, the performances are serviceable, and the film moves along without ever becoming actively annoying. It doesn’t demand much from you, and it doesn’t give much back either. The problem is that there’s nothing here that sticks. The story is thin, the characters are broad, and once it’s over there’s very little reason to think about it again. It exists firmly in that made-for-TV comfort zone, where expectations are low and mostly met. Not good, not offensively bad — just fluff. 🍹 A watered-down cocktail — sweet enough going down, but gone without leaving much of an impression.
