Where to Watch Belle de Jour
- barryl36June 19, 2026Belle de Jour is a good movie. 3 stars being good and 5 stars being great. I did not find it exceptional and I believe it is because it was a product of its time. It had difficulty distiguishing the flashbacks and fantasies from reality at times. The compulsion was not conveyed well enough. I have noticed a warning in many Parisian films that a yearning or obsession will result in tragedy; and alternatively, the acceptance of life can be extremely rewarding. This film fit that mold. It is overdue for a mainstream remake.
