- angeltreadJune 15, 2026Never even heard of this. Watched cause of the cast. Some heavy hitters who at the time were both established and a few before they hit it bigger. Everything feels like a first draft, first take, first edit… it’s not fully cooked. With one of those horrible digital piano soft rock 80s soundtracks. It never came to theaters. Aired on TV and then laserdisc and then forgotten until now in the streaming age. Sprint to the finish line ending is an understatement. It’s a rocket ship to the finish (see what I did there), with an almost out of nowhere Scifi ending. I saw one review say a family drama with a coat of sci-fi paint…. But this is a family drama with this tiniest nickel sized mark of sci-fi paint. What a weird awkward movie. Written and directed by the guy that wrote Cocoon apparently. From this work, I have a feeling cocoon has a lot of subsequent creative inputs into it to make it what it was. Cause it’s lights years better than this.
