After a blind date gone horribly wrong, Jim and Lauren agree they never, ever want to see each other again. Well, that's all about to change when the two find themselves and their respective families (including children) all stuck together in one suite at an African Safari vacation spot.
Where to Watch Blended
- Callum6d ago⭐⭐⭐½ – Blended – More than just another Adam Sandler comedy. At first glance, Blended looks exactly like what you'd expect from an Adam Sandler comedy. There are awkward situations, goofy jokes, predictable romance beats, and plenty of moments where you can see the next plot point coming from a mile away. And to be fair, a lot of that is exactly what the film delivers. The storyline itself is fairly predictable, and while there are laughs scattered throughout, this isn't one of Sandler's funniest outings. What surprised me, though, is that underneath all the comedy sits a genuinely heartfelt message about family and parenting. For me, that's what the film is really about. The romance is the vehicle, but the story's heart lies in the importance of parents being present for their children. Both families arrive with their own baggage, mistakes, and shortcomings, and watching them slowly learn how to function together gives the movie far more substance than its premise might suggest. Of course, it also benefits from yet another Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore collaboration. There's a reason these two keep working well together. Their chemistry feels natural, easy, and believable in a way that elevates material that might otherwise feel fairly ordinary. Looking back across Sandler's filmography, their collaborations are generally among his stronger efforts, and honestly, I wouldn't complain if they made another one. It's not groundbreaking cinema, and you'll rarely be surprised by where it's heading. But it's warm, likeable, and has enough heart to make the journey worthwhile. 🥤 A family-sized milkshake shared around the table — sweet, comforting, a little predictable, but enjoyable because of who you're sharing it with.
