Giving it a 3 for effort. It's fairly watchable, though most the movie is CGI. You gotta check your brain and just cheer for the hero. Pretty glossy with big name stars. I've watched it a couple of times. And yes, flour is explosive so they would have blown themselves to kingdom come in the tunnel in the beginning of the movie. Switch the brain off..... Enjoy it more.

Bloodshot is a decent enough popcorn flick, but it won't be winning any awards for depth. The graphics were solid and Vin Diesel does what he does best, but the whole thing felt incredibly rushed. It’s a necessary watch to round out my action movie catalog, but it’s a "one and done" for me.

This one’s a glossy, CGI-heavy attempt to launch a superhero franchise with Vin Diesel as a nanotech enhanced soldier who’s basically Wolverine meets Robocop, but with more brooding and less subtlety. Bloodshot opens with a bang, literally and never really slows down long enough to explain why anything is happening. But hey, you didn’t stream this for nuance. Ray Garrison (Diesel) is killed in action and resurrected by a shady tech company that gives him super strength, healing powers and a memory that’s been tampered with more times than your Netflix recommendations. He’s out for revenge, or so he thinks and the plot twists like a pretzel in a wind tunnel. The action is slick, the visuals are loud and the pacing is pure popcorn. The tunnel sequence? Explosive flour and slow-mo carnage. The villain? Generic. The emotional beats? Mostly drowned out by the sound of nanites whirring. But Diesel commits, growling his way through the chaos like he’s auditioning for Fast & Furious: Cyber Edition. Streaming it first felt like a guilty pleasure, the kind of movie you watch on a rainy night, then immediately add to Plex because it scratches that “tech-noir revenge fantasy” itch. It’s not deep, but it’s fun in a “switch your brain off and cheer for the hero” kind of way. A nanotech fueled revenge flick that’s equal parts dumb fun and digital noise. Bloodshot is Diesel doing what Diesel does best, punching, grunting, and defying physics. First streamed, now archived. It’s not a masterpiece, but it’s a mood.
