The film presents utopian version of Indian society featuring an unrealistically progressive college principal that feels entirely fictional and detached from local realities. While it attempts to explore how career pressures and the responsibilities of a newborn can tear a young couple apart, the resolution feels unearned. More frustratingly, the film pushes a biased, faux progressive narrative: it suggests that a woman with a child has endless post divorce options and therefore has no incentive to save her marriage, while the man is left with none. On the positive side, the film boasts stylish aesthetics, a beautifully integrated soundtrack, and a surprisingly good performance from Ananya Panday, who continues her streak of natural acting following CTRL. Ultimately, however, clueless writing prevents this from being anything more than a glossy, one time watch.
