Where to Watch Chicken Run
- jameslewoodJune 28, 2026This is actually a great movie. I hadn't seen it since I was young and the animation, plot and enjoyment still holds up after all these years. The animation in particular is spectacular and hard to believe it was hand made frame by frame using clay and miniatures. Just animating a crowd of chickens and having to track each frame of each chicken's motion seems like such an achievement compared to digital animation where animators can go back and forth to edit. Super impressive. The writing is also great, I even discovered some of the jokes that I missed as a kid. The only plot hole is that chickens can actually fly right? Unless that's part of the joke. Overall though a great film for any age group.
- Davey’s Wonderful WorldOctober 30, 2025This movie is an absolute masterpiece easily a top three film by Aardman. The animation is flawless. The characters are charming and likable. The story is basically the great escape but with chickens and I love that this movie takes itself a lot more seriously than most Aardman movies but never too seriously cause it does allow a good joke every now and then to happen mainly from the rats, Nick and Fletcher It’s just a fun movie with great characters in amazing music score by John Powell and Harry Gregson Williams and I can’t wait to see this movie in theaters when it releases again this up-and-coming November
