The film has plenty of action and steadily builds toward its final confrontation, mixing in a little romance and jealousy along the way. Unfortunately, the payoff is underwhelming. After all the buildup, the story wraps up with a gunfight and then simply ends, leaving the conclusion feeling weaker than it should. It's a passable Western, and fans of the genre may enjoy it, but there are many better Westerns from the same era worth watching first.
