Stian Andreassen reviewedApril 3, 2026 The concept is rad, the cast is literally stellar – Quaid, von Sydow, Plummer, Capshaw – but the execution, sadly, is below par. The second act is just build-up, build-up, build-up, to a third act that never arrives and an ending that feels rushed. The third act boss fight is underwhelming, and the snakeman felt so misplaced I wondered if there were vital scenes left on the cutting room floor. The denouement, where the villain meets karma, is blink and you’ll miss it.
