- Kevin WardJuly 2, 2025Been getting kind of hyped for the new Evil Dead Rise and figured I better catch up on this one which has been on my watchlist for a while. Man this movie rips! It has some really excellent cinematic imagery, gruesome kills and fantastic looking effects. Only things keeping it from an even higher score is that it sometimes falls into the horror trap of characters making really dumb choices. Most of that can be forgiven, though, given how much fun this was. Bring on Rise…
- RonMay 6, 2026this is top-tier horror. the performances are excellent across the board. rewatching it reminded me why i thought the first time that i’d never sit through it again cuz the gore is relentless and somehow keeps finding ways to shock you when you least expect it. jane levy is especially fantastic she’s just incredibly good in horror. the rest of the cast is great too delivering superb acting. i still remember watching it with my whole family, and despite how intense it was, we had an amazing time with it.
