- SirMonkalot1d agoA fun yet predictable rom com that follows the same formula as most rom coms. What I found that made this one stand out was the actors and the setting. I’m a sucker for the UK and I love that this takes place in Manchester. Angourie Rice & Spike Fearn were great lead actors and I find they had awesome chemistry. Definitely an entertaining and enjoyable watch!
- Burnharm3d agoFinding Emily is one of those gentle, uplifting films that reminds you people can choose kindness and become better versions of themselves. It has a warmth and sincerity that make it easy to connect with, leaving you with the feeling that the world could be a little better if more people acted the way its characters aspire to. Its greatest strength is how sweet and heartfelt it is without feeling overly cynical. It’s the kind of movie that leaves you smiling and hopeful. That said, I wasn't entirely satisfied with how everything is resolved in the final act. The ending feels a little too convenient and doesn't carry the same emotional weight as the journey that leads up to it. Even so, it's a charming and genuinely heartwarming film whose optimism is its greatest asset.
