This is a fascinating War Story with a strange ending. Marvin was good and story was solid. For those that may not know, the ending, what's changed by the studio after release. In the united states. The studio change the ending from what it is now to the building blowing up... that's not a spoiler. So you still have to watch it by the ending.. Thankfully, the explosion handing, has been cut from all the current versions as far as I know, back to the original. Boat factories were superb.

"Hell in the Pacific" brings you in and gets you invested in well-portrayed characters, then hits you with a disappointing ending.
