- ohjaypJuly 24, 2026Started off strong but without any spoilers I’ll just say after introducing the mythical elements of the story the movie failed to convey the motives, history or any reasoning behind them. Judging from the trailer I expected something more of a supernatural thriller like Witch but this quickly turned into a Sci fi B horror film.
- jasonfin2May 14, 2026Great Folk Horror! A very good Dutch folk horror I stumbled across on Shudder. A barren women living in a puritan community bearing the shame of being childless and suffering from village judgement and all sorts of cretins offering to impregnate her willingly or unwillingly with something creepy lurking in the woods. Comparisons, unfairly, to The Witch, are inevitable given it's style but it's very much its own film. Worth checking out!
