The story lacks depth, logic, and the emotion that the cast so valiantly attempts to invoke.

Cute movie but the story has no emotional flow. It feels like it was written by AI. I would'nt watch it again

IF is wholesome and cute with a tenderhearted message, but lacked the emotional punch to elevate this above the standard family animated movies. All three of my kids enjoyed it, my daughter even cried by the end, but I found myself a bit bored, particularly in the middle. This felt like the emotional center of the film was driving towards reconnecting people with their IF. I wanted more of connection with the, you know, non-imaginary characters. When the film opens, it really felt like we were headed towards an emotional rollercoaster with a young family navigating through tragedy and heartbreak. Every time it felt like we were going to dive into something deeply emotional, I felt like the film pulled back as they were afraid to get too dark or heavy. Aside from that, I can’t really say anything bad about the film. It was enjoyable. It just really didn’t hit me as emotionally as I thought it was going to when it started.

It had a nice twist but you didn't get what you want until the end credits. Nice design with variety of imaginary friends. Big voice cast.

A bit too much for young children. Mix of feelings and too much overrated using ideas from the monsters inc movie. Some diseases were not explained that got myself and my kid confused

This film is a revelation, a profound metaphor made tangible. It speaks not of mere imaginary friends, but of the abandoned, unseen parts of the human soul—the fragile constructs of wonder, comfort, and unconditional love we forge in youth and casually discard with age. The narrative is a gentle yet urgent call to remember, to look past the weary cynicism of the ‘real world’ and perceive the lingering emotional echoes we all leave behind. The film argues that imagination is not an escape from pain, but the very language of healing itself. It is a visually poetic plea for compassion, for the recognition that to reconnect with our own cast-off innocence is perhaps the most authentic and brave step toward wholeness. It’s a beautiful, melancholic, and ultimately hopeful meditation on the necessity of preserving our light.

It was okay, a nice kids movie but nothing special. Ryan plays a more serious role than his usual funny.

This film is an amalgamation of two film plots. One being similar to all those films about young people who have had some traumatic experiences which make them withdraw and handle their problems with imaginary friends they create themselves. Put this storyline with Jack Black's Goosebump's! Both melancholy. Plus all the characters are animated expect one which also (for me) was an error.
