- Ecto-1AOctober 13, 2025😱 The only thing scarier than the killer… is the acting and you’ll be dying to checkout how much runtime is left ⌚️👀 Intruder is exactly what you’d expect from a campy, B-movie slasher of the 1980s. The acting fits right in line with the genre — plenty of screaming, jogging from the killer and the inevitable “falling while fleeing” moments that never get old. I’ll give credit where it’s due: the practical effects are surprisingly impressive in some parts of the film, the kind you’d expect from a bigger-budget Hollywood production of the era. Unfortunately, I found myself checking the remaining runtime more often than I was actually entertained. As much as I wanted to like this movie, it just never quite clicked for me in the end.
- Kevin WardJuly 1, 2025Man, this has some great kills. Personal fave is probably the hydraulic press, but it was actually a tough choice. My biggest criticism is pretty much every character does my least favorite horror trope. “Tim! Tiiiim! Where are you? Tiiiiiiiim! Is this a joke?” “Bob! Bob! You guys better not be messing me. Bob?!” Ugh. No one would ever talk like that in that situation and it drives me insane every time I hear it. Super fun flick though. Had been on my slasher radar for a while. Glad to finally see it.
- NirupamMay 21, 2025Intruder is peak 80s slasher. In fact, I’ll even go as far to say that this is one of the best if not the best slasher film of the 80s. It’s got everything: great kills, a hot cast (literally all the night crew except the older guys can get it) and some fun camera angles. It’s been my go to suggestion whenever someone asks me for a 80s slasher recommendation. Need more people to watch this.
