Paul Dano being in this would have made it a better film A classic. The love for Kung Fu movies and television is enormous. Almost makes you wanna pleasure yourself with a belt around your neck. RIP David Carradkne Why is her name bleeped Oh yeah that kid’s gonna have a great life! Nice decision making, Beatrix Fucking love how much Quentin loves Battle Royale. Seeing Chigusa in this just makes me so happy. Incredible needle drops RZA’s best score. The “Ironside” siren is so legendary already (edit: I forgot about Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai) RIP to a lot of ppl in this but especially Michael Parks. But why was he in two roles? Including a Mexican pimp!? Gordon Liu playing two parts is also just…odd “Silly rabbit tricks are for kids” is infuriating upon rewatch Hella goofiness in the fight against the 88. Including an A-tier Wilhelm scream. Loved it Music before showdown in Japan reminds me of the “Stuck in the Middle with You” scene from Reservoir Dogs (which makes sense) You can see how Quentin and Rob Zombie exchange influences, even casting Captain Spaulding! One of the best burial scenes ever. Just incredible sound design. Whole tutelage chapter is so ripe for parody In total, such a fucked up story lmao The movie from GZA’s Liquid Swords is such a nice touch The amount of feet shots is just egregious Will always love that “Alright” from the original OF tape by Odd Future has that incredible speech from Lucy Liu Crazy I never realized a movie had Sid Haig and Samuel L Jackson in the same film Watched at Warren Regal 21 with Moore

This is without a doubt the definitive way to watch Kill Bill. A goofy revenge story told with so much style, fun, grit and innovativeness, I was thoroughly entertained for 4 hours straight. The soundtracks are so badass and riveting. The fight scenes were really cool. It’s got tones of westerns, anime, old Chinese martial arts films, blaxploitation, comedies and so much more, and it all seamlessly blends to form this wonder of wackiness and brilliant spectacle. Above all else, the dialogue is on another level and really sells the villains as ominous characters, and of course credits to the actors for delivering these lines with such gravitas. I saw both movies as a kid but couldn’t recollect much, I’m glad I rewatched it in this version and had a great time!

The unofficial fan edited Dr. Sapirstein version is the popular release that has been around since early 2013 which is 4 hours, 2 minutes.... The actual Quentin Tarantino-approved Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair (combining both volumes with new animation) had special showings in 2006 and 2011, and a wider theatrical release by Lionsgate in the U.S. starting December 5, 2025 that is 4 hours, 35 minutes. There are indications there will be a digital, then physical release with Apple TV having a "coming soon" page for the title, suggesting an imminent video-on-demand (VOD) release.

The Whole Bloody Affair > Vol 1 & 2 Originally shot as a 4+ hour epic it was the studio who decided to split this movie in two and the 'cliffhanger' between Volumes was never in the original story. This means you as the viewer know just as much as The Bride about the Final Fight scene. If I had been able to watch this originally as the whole bloody affair that moment could be one of my favourite, most hard hitting moments in cinema.

Very, very few movies I give the full 5 stars to. Even for something I'd rate at 98% I would typically round down to 4.5 stars. I'm not sure if I can ever give any movie 100%, but Kill Bill I give at least 99% if not a bit more. Calling this a just a movie is doing a disservice. THIS IS CINEMA! If you appreciate film in any regards you will have plenty to love. The cinematography, the script, the soundtrack, the sound effects, the unfolding of the story, and all the ways it uses bits and pieces inspired by US and Asian film history are just nearly unmatched. The only reasons you should not make the time to give this piece of cinema your full attention is if you have mental/emotional issues with seeing excessive violence and (obviously fake) blood. If you don't have those issues then this is a must see for film and culture history. Even if you don't like it like I do, there is just so much notable about it that it will not be a waste of your time. Very few things I watched when I was younger hit as hard today as they did back then. This is one of the few that hits even harder now that I have a wider appreciation of classic film and better understanding of film.

OMGsh how did they make this better it was already amazing! As a Kill Bill fan I have watched it so many times it's one of the only movies that I own on DVD and charish. The way they cut and expanded to enhance the the plot and back story was so beyond execution it was perfect. I need to own this one two.

So happy this finally got released, one of my favourite movies from my favourite director. I was only 17 when Vol. 1 came out and in my local theater it was rated Hard R so you needed ID to get in. My sister was 8 months pregnant and I asked her to go because I figured her preggo belly would get us in, and indeed it did lol She came with me and my now 22 year old nephew for this amazing experience, bringing everything full circle. I love the movies and all the special moments in my life they provide. (Out of theater review) 👍👍 10/10

This is the definitive way to watch the movie. For the most part, everything plays out the same except for moving a notable reveal from the end of Vol. 1 to where Tarantino originally envisioned it, which gives it significantly more impact. It's a shame this isn't truly 4K though. If any movie deserves a true 4K release, it's Kill Bill - the visuals are at times incredible. But the "4K" streaming release looks in some ways worse than the 1080p Bluray, and I gather it's because this movie is actually an upscaled 2K digital source. With any luck the 4K physical release is a bit better.

Wow what an experience. I never thought watching both volumes as one self contained film, let alone in a theatre would hit this hard. This really does feel like the definitive way to watch Kill Bill. Everything is built so beautifully: the pacing, the story progression, the way the backstory threads in at the right moments. The homages to kung fu, samurai films and classic Asian cinema feel so genuine and so lovingly crafted. Chef’s kiss soundtrack too. I came out appreciating the entire second half so much more. It breathes better, it lands harder and it fits perfectly in the full arc instead of being its own part. It’s mad long and you definitely need to be in a certain mood to sit through this 4.5 hour cut again, but the crazy thing is it never feels long cause every scene counts and matters, what a ride.

Disclosure, I do not now how much amnesia I suffered during the years I had not seen this movies, or if this new cut has so many new parts that surprised me, but it was an excellent reacquaints with what felt like fresh new film, no moment is wasted, it is pure entertainment delivered for the joy of the audience, no message, or propaganda just pure entertainment for the people.

Kill Bill is a martial arts epic with great dialogue, a cornucopia of references, and that signature Tarantino flair for violence and a deep passionate love for cinema as a medium. This film, to me, acts as the perfect fusion of samurai movies, spaghetti westerns, and Hollywood spectacle. The Showdown at The House of Blue Leaves, where The Bride must face-off against O-Ren Ishii and the Crazy 88, is a masterclass in how to create an action scene, and the rest of the action in the movie has a level of quality only slightly below that. Do yourself a favor; if you truly love movies, go see Kill Bill, because you will almost certainly love it too. This the only way to watch this movie everything flows so smoothly. The sure power of this version blows you away. If you can a find a way to watch it you'll have the best 4 hours of your life

I’ve been dying to see this cut after learning of it over 20 years ago. Rotted in the theater for almost 5 hours, and it didn’t feel a minute over 2. Go see this in the theater, this movie feels at home there. The music, the sound effect, the blood splatter: just incredible.
