Where to Watch Magnolia
- Fire LanskyJuly 2, 2026Still love it. From an era when it was easy to love PTA films. It’s big, bloated, overly dramatic and completely beautiful. When it first came out I was at just the right age to dig on the pretentious vibes. It’s a bit corny now, but easy to overlook and just enjoy because of all the scene-chewing powerhouse performances.
- Tyler SNovember 16, 2025Back when it took about a year for movies to hit home video, I didn't get to see this until the summer of 2000 at the young age of 14. My hype levels were high, I had already watched Boogie Nights many times and couldn't wait to see PTA's follow up and it's safe to say I wasn't disappointed. Magnolia blew my teenage mind away, the 3 hour runtime flew by and the wild finale was so original and unexpected even at that age I knew I was seeing a classic in the making. A masterpiece from top to bottom. From my first viewing on that 2 tape VHS until now this has been one of my all time favs and I can't wait for an Arrow or Criterion 4K edition loaded with the special features it deserves. I almost forgot to mention how much I love the Aimee Mann songs, I still listen to them multiple times a year. I love Magnolia! 👍👍 10/10
