Thieves smuggling stolen jewelry stuffed in smoked turkeys is the definition of low stakes but it'll satisfy noir fans. The supporting cast is loaded with great crime movie ugly mug actors. Honestly it looked like the thieves were doing well with the legit turkey business. "What's a dame gonna do with a rod?"
