Where to Watch Now You See Me 2
- OdinTheRavenKingMay 8, 2026## Synopsis The Four Horsemen attempt to resurface, however, their trick is co-opted by a tech genius with a personal vendetta. ## Review This is a second movie in the series. It very much is a reference to a line you'd see in a YouTube video about something be "That is one of the movies of all time." It very much just exist. I honestly think that might be the best sentence that I can give to it. From a story perspective, it is alright for expanding the universe, but has some major issues. Let's start with Lulu. She shows up, and the bad guys should have no knowledge of who she is really or want her to be a part of it. She is also the only one to mention Henly, from [[Now You See Me]]. There is no mention from the bad guy about where is she, I need to get my revenge on her too. Nothing. It makes ZERO sense. I really feel the whole point of this movie is to explain "The Eye" and nothing else. The magic is cool. I really like the strobe lights and water. I also again appreciate that explain how most of the tricks worked with a couple skips. There are a couple events that happen that are never explained. I'm not mad, I just want to know they are going to explain those away. ## [My Rating] The science of the chip they are looking for obviously make zero practical sense. I'm not mad at it though as getting it made one of the coolest card trick scenes you will ever watch. What this movie does well is the same that the last movie did well. Adding magic to technology, and from a visual/sound perspective it is just pleasant to watch and hear. It is a fun watch, so I am giving it a 7. ## [Parental Rating] The language in this movie is the main thing in their way. There are some scenes of comedic violence. You can tell pretty quickly it is fake and it isn't graphic. Meaning that it might not be too discouraging for my mom. I don't think there is anything too discouraging. Based on the rules though, I am not sure my mom would watch this. It is harder for me to say she will because of the randomly fake violence and the real scene with it (Almost forgot about one scene of violence). So I am going to say approved by Dad and rejected by Mom.
- Alex LyonsMarch 11, 2026While not the most necessary of sequels, it was still fun to ride along with the set of characters again and see the calibre of tricks they perform (along with how they pull them off). I specifically enjoyed the scene where they are trading a playing card between them; quite tense and suspenseful!
- tuffpetDecember 20, 2025Shot like a magic trick to try and keep you off balance. It's entertaining, but you'll be able to sit all the plot twists a mile off. Also losing the main female character for the first film then having the replacement character essentially voicing the fact that they're there so there's a woman present, them having them have zero plot impact, appear from nowhere and spend the entire film just hitting on one of the make characters... Eh, it's a waste.
