Where to Watch Outlaw King
- Zokkiie4d agoA pretty good medieval epic with a lot going for it. The movie has a gritty feel that works really well, and the battles are some of the highlights with a nice brutal, realistic style. Chris Pine is great in the lead role and does a good job making Robert the Bruce feel like more than just a historical figure. The scenery and overall atmosphere are also a big plus. It does slow down at times, and some parts don’t hit as hard as they probably should. A few characters could have used more development too. But the strong visuals, solid performances, and grounded approach make it an enjoyable watch. Not one of the best medieval movies out there, but definitely a good one.
