Where to Watch Princess Mononoke
- M08YAugust 19, 2025Princess Mononoke feels like Studio Ghibli took Fernfully and elevated to epic heights. It's the tale of mans struggle to accept forces outside it's control. In typical fashion, the styling is beautiful and the characters are very well realised. Lady Eboshi is a standout for me as the charismatic leader of the ironworks who decides to take on a literal god, pretty badass behaviour. While not my favourite Studio Ghibli film, Princess Mononoke aims high and does a damn good job of tackling a complicated theme. For some reason I struggled to articulate my throughts on this one.
