A little like F1 but in the 70s and with more boobs and f words. Once again a Ron Howard movie I’ve never seen and really liked. The man churns out the solid pretty dang consistently.

Many racing films give me the ick, as they seem too far from reality. This felt like real racing. Loved it. Beautiful story. <3

F1 in the days where drivers put their lives on the line to drive fucking fast and a professional sportsman could drink, fuck and smoke his way to be the best in the world. Ahhh those were the days.

Best F1 movie to date and yes I have seen the 2025 F1 movie!! A great story about a couple of legends in the sport, watch it if you love sport movies and you don’t need to know anything about the sport!

I am really hard to please when it comes to movies about racing. To me most of what you see is just ridiculous Hollywood nonsense, and tired old tropes about impossibly perfect people with cartoon personalities and unrealistic racing. Rush is certainly not perfect, but it comes close. The cars look good, the period facts about the safety (or lack thereof) of that era and the risks drivers took back then is spot on. Sure there are some un-needed Hollywood embellishments but they get the emotional aspects right. Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl are both charismatic and believable as the two lead characters, but the physical and emotional trauma each of them portrayed is indeed worthy of being the center of attention here. For all of James Hunt’s charisma and his living life on the edge it was easily Lauda who proved to be the true champion in life, and in history. Human beings have an alarming proclivity to gravitate towards the more attractive and palatable people in life, but it’s people who are truly dedicated to their craft and focused who are truly worthy of the championships and legacy they earn. If you want to watch a movie about Formula One do yourself a favor and ignore the more recent Brad Pitt cartoon being pumped up by social media. This is the movie that deserves more attention.

Eye opener on risk vs reward and priorities. Bruhl is a perfect a-hole. Unique story of a rivalry that pushed both sides to their best.

Incredible movie. Watching two drivers who desperately want to achieve the same thing with two completely different personalities. Actors did their jobs brilliantly and did really well to create tension between them with how it work in actual Formula One.

Amazing Movie for people who are interested in the History of racing, and especially Formula 1. 100% recommend this movie to others, but maybe not younger humans under 16 because of some scenes.

One of the greatest sports rivalries ever brought to the big screen. All the flair and panache that a movie about Formula 1 in the 70s should have. And it does. You don't have to be into F1 to enjoy this movie.
