Has some funny moments but it just seemed to go on and on about white people being the R word. It's worth a watch just for the ending, I hope they don't make anymore.

Not as well 1 and 2 but it funny a very smart way to laugh at modern horror movie some of the jokes aren't good a littel of them are bad but great way to bring back a franchise but they still haven't made fun of fnaf 7/10

The people who don't find the movie funny are the very people it's about.

Such a hilarious and funny movie that brings the OG gang back and the directors, I have seen some negative reviews about this movie. But at the end of the day whether you're an old Scary Movie fan that can't catch up with Gen Z/Alpha terminology etc. this movie remains funny nevertheless!

Terrible script. Terrible acting by younger cast. Great to see all older cast make appearance. ending was good for sequel.

Great throwback with OG cast.. good laughs!

A bit cringey. Too try-hard. Bad acting on purpose, but the bad acting is unfunny, so it's just awful. You may like it if you watch a lot of horror movies and understand the callbacks.

Yes this movie is full of stupid edgy jokes and it’s too self referential but I was laughing the whole time and so was everyone around me. Is it good? Probably not. But it doesn’t need to be. It just needed to be a new scary movie in 2026. Comedy movies don’t NEED a good plot or to be high brow. They just need to make you laugh. Turn your brain off, stoop to its level and hopefully you’ll have as good of a time as I did.

A lot of fun when you like horror and slapstick

Wazzup!🤪 It was so funny and so packed full of current references but they still managed to make it a twisted joyful ride. Felt like 40 minutes and that's how I know I enjoyed my time. And because I haven't laughed that much at a new movie in YEARS. They put so many current topics in the correct lense, pointing out how idiotic a lot of it truly is. The characters picked up enough of their old tropes to make it feel like them, the acting was top-notch from the OGs - of course and the ones were really good as well. They paid attention to the details - sometimes you find something real funny on a crave stone or a sign, that was always my favorite in Scary Movie and they even self-referenced in a clever way. The first Act had a little too much from the trailer in my opinion but how else would they show what they had to offer for the whole movie. I missed this style of comedy and I feel like it teleported me back in the correct timeline. Probably my favorite Comedy or maybe even Movie of the year in general. Can't really top this - unless they do white chick's next. 👀

Was absolutely terrible. Id of rather have let the franchise die than try drag it along with this mess.

Scary Movie 6 was unfortunately a bit of a letdown. Now, before people misunderstand me, I’m not saying it was bad & I’m definitely not saying it wasn’t funny. There were plenty of laughs throughout the runtime. The problem is that most of those laughs were small chuckles rather than the uncontrollable gut-busting laughter that the first two films regularly delivered. That’s really the story of this movie in a nutshell; enjoyable, but nowhere near the heights of the classics. One thing I absolutely have to give the film credit for is its willingness to push the envelope again. Comedy has become so sanitised, politically correct & terrified of offending anyone over the last decade that it was refreshing to see a mainstream comedy take some risks. Hopefully this film contributes, even in a small way, to making offensive comedy more common again. Comedy works best when absolutely nobody is safe from being the butt of the joke. The return of the legacy cast was also a huge positive. Seeing familiar faces from the original films instantly brought back that classic Scary Movie energy & nostalgia. That said, I think the movie could have trimmed down some of the newer cast members. A few stood out positively, particularly Sydney Park, the actress playing Wednesday Addams & Sara the pill-popping girl, who all got some genuinely funny moments. Unfortunately, a lot of the remaining new characters felt either forgettable or outright annoying. The blonde kid in particular got on my nerves & irritated the hell out of me. I also found myself rolling my eyes at some of the Gen Z humour they tried to force into the movie. The “6-7” joke during the weapons parody scene was incredibly unfunny, I already hate the 67 meme. Also I genuinely have no idea why Kai Cenat was in this movie. It felt less like a creative decision & more like an obvious attempt to bring his audience into theatres. One major issue affecting my overall experience wasn’t even the movie’s fault. My friend got absolutely hammered during the screening & would not shut up for the entire film. He was yelling random nonsense throughout multiple scenes to the point that I eventually left early to take him home because it was ruining the experience not only for me but probably everyone sitting around us as well. I’m honestly still furious about it because I missed roughly the final 15–20 minutes & from what I’ve read online, a lot of people felt the ending was one of the stronger parts of the film & wrapped things up quite nicely. So yes, I will probably have to watch it again. Overall, I’m giving it a 6/10 (Decent / Okay movie with some good bits). If I remove the nostalgia factor entirely, it’s probably closer to a 5. However, the movie did make me laugh consistently, even if those laughs weren’t particularly big ones, that has to count for something. At the end of the day, it’s nowhere near the level of ‘Scary Movie’ or ‘Scary Movie 2’, nor anywhere near as good as ‘A Haunted House’ & ‘A Haunted House 2’. Still, if you’re a fan of the original Scary Movie films, it’s worth watching once. Just keep your expectations in check.

Big fan of Anna Faris. Main reason I watched the Scary Movies which is why I never saw Scary Movie 5. So I don't know if this new one is worse than that. But it's definitely the worst of the franchise I've seen so far. The promotion tour by Anna and the Wayan Bros. has been hilarious. That was not the case for the movie. Most of the jokes fell flat. Callbacks are great if they're funny. Not if they're the same recycled gags told better in the previous movies. Too much screen times went to the new cast. Yes, the movie has the same plot as Scream 6, so most of the screen times went to the new cast too. Unfortunately, most of that new cast just can't do comedy like the old cast. The only times the movie got any momentum is when the core four were together. Their chemistry was the best thing about the movie except it had such limited screen times. It's probably why the ending was the best part. At my screening, I heard maybe two laughs. Almost fell asleep myself at one point. If you don't like the movie, people are saying you don't get Comedy and easily offended. The only thing I'm offended is how much of a missed opportunity this was. This should have been at least the first two movies quality. Instead, we got something akin of Disaster Movie and Superhero Movie. There are many offensive movies that are funny out there, and I have lots of those in my collection. This just wasn't funny except to people who find paint drying funny. This one really tore me, because I am a Anna Faris completist.

Pretty horrible, one comment I agree with, there aren’t jokes, just references.

Scary Movie 6 is exactly the kind of comedy the world needed right now. It brings back the outrageous, no-limits humor that made the franchise iconic and proves that parody movies still have a place in cinemas. The filmmakers didn't hold back, taking shots at everything and everyone with confidence. It's ridiculous, unapologetic, and one of the funniest theater experiences I've had in years.
