- Kevin WardJuly 1, 2025I didn’t buy into all aspects of this, but it’s a solid family drama. Judith, grieving the loss of her mom and struggling to maintain connection and spark in her marriage brings her husband and two children on a family wellness retreat. The couples therapy doesn’t exactly bring Judith and Steve closer together. The interactions with the other couple, both the attraction/sexual tension between Judith and Pat, as well as Steve’s jealousy landed a little on the melodramatic side for me. But I liked the depiction of how microaggressions and casual racism played into the deterioration of the family unit. Didn’t care for how this ended though. It’s a little too bleak for my taste.
