The story and the characters are shrouded in the unknown but there is something deeply familiar hovering just above you the whole time. This movie is heavy with dark tones and will leave you in a state of bewilderment after the final act.
- Kevin WardDecember 21, 2025In my head, this is exactly what Burning Man is like. I went in completely cold, with no context beyond the buzz it’s been getting for its score. But, man did this thing take some turns I genuinely did not see coming. Honestly, that is my favorite kind of movie experience. The score definitely lives up. It’s relentless and electric and shapes the film’s energy, but also kind of lulls you into a hypnotic rhythm for that first hour or so. But I highly recommend avoiding reading anything else in advance and just let it unfold.
