Where to Watch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
- CarterJuly 30, 2026On another rewatch, Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse is still one of my all time favourite animated movies. Positives: - The animation is the best looking animation I have ever seen - The score is electric - The soundtrack is a bop - The voice acting is great - The action sequences are awesome - The movie is a perfect set up for part 2 - The cliff hanger is awesome - The film introduces a lot which really changed the Spider-Man Universe forever Overall Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse is still one of my favourite Animated movies of all time.
- HunterMay 6, 2025This is the best Spider-Man film, (in my opinion) that pushes the boundaries of animation. The use of colors combined with the themes and pacing makes it a great watching experience. Some people don’t like the movie because it leaves off on a cliff hanger. Even with that, the movie still works really well and tells a complete story through Gwen’s character. Overall, this is a must watch movie, especially if you are into the types of visuals and themes of the film. It is able to tell a story in ways no other movie has, beyond its amazing writing. It would be cool if the subtitles were comic text bubbles.
- rg9400July 8, 2026It’s easy to paint all superhero movies as equal, but this is about as good a counterexample as any. There will be people who refuse to recognize it because it is animated, or because it is a Spider-Man movie. Their loss. The animation is god-tier, easily some of the best you will ever see. And the way each world uses different animation styles that reflect their characters is so well thought-out. The score is stunning. But beyond all of that, the reason it remains in my top movies of 2023 is the character work. The twin perspectives of Gwen and Miles work in tandem to explore both blood and found families, to explore what it means to truly have values and the conviction to stick with them even when it is not easy, and to fight against the very idea of fate. Gwen Stacy in particular was the real highlight for me, with her storyline really resonating multiple times throughout.
