Where to Watch Strange Darling
- rg9400July 8, 2026Strange Darling is a bigger surprise than Oddity this year, and that's really saying something. I had not even heard of this movie until a few weeks ago, and I am so glad I decided to give this tension-filled thriller a chance. From the very beginning, the movie states that was filmed entirely on 35mm, demanding to be seen on the big screen. And it instantly earns that. I don't want to say too much because so much of this movie deserves to be seen fully blind. However, I need to say it has some incredibly creative stylistic choices, both in structure and in cinematography. I just have to applaud the audacity. There is some gorgeous cinematography and a strong score as well. It kept me on the edge of my seat. And I would be remiss if I didn't mention the excellent acting of Kyle Gallner and the star turn of Willa Fitzgerald who builds on her incredible role in The Fall of the House of Usher to put together an absolutely captivating performance. Watch this on the biggest screen possible and support this original and creative movie!

Each fractured chapter lands with purpose, and the payoff is oh-so worth the disorientation.
- Joe KnappJune 2, 2026Even though I predicted the twist, I found this movie to be very entertaining, albeit quite bizarre. The use of 35MM film was interesting. The organization of the story in chapters that were shown out of order is something I'm not usually fond of, but in this case it worked. Overall, a good flick worth watching, but only if you can tolerate violence and sexual situations.
- Seamys-WorldMay 25, 2026What a crazy show. I was becoming a little frustrated at the beginning as it seemed a few scenes dragged a little and seemed wasted, but In the long run this sense faded. The way the director staggered the order of the story made for some brilliant twists, which in turn created a great movie. A little insane but very entertaining.
