- revgg12h agoIn spite of all the hate I went into this movie hopeful. "it can't be as bad as people are saying".... It was. To put it succinctly, they just didn't care about this movie at all. The dialogue is horrible, the soundtrack choices are ludicrous and in the big moments where they'd want to polish it up and make it look great, it felt like a satire down to the awful cgi. Superman looked so good in comparison, and that was out first... I don't like to hate on movies. The studio hated this one more than I did.
- 7ANG0N1N315h agoI never watched the Supergirl TV series or read the comics, so I went into this movie with zero expectations. As a standalone film? It's... okay. Nothing amazing, nothing terrible. My biggest gripe is Lobo. He had almost no bearing on the overall story and felt more like fan service than an essential character. They could've saved the budget on his scenes and used that screen time to flesh out the plot and the supporting cast instead. It's an enjoyable enough movie, but it misses the chance to tell a deeper, more memorable Supergirl story.
- DadJuly 11, 2026Lucky I read all the bad reviews first, I went into it negatively and found that it wasn't bad at all. Yeah it's not a traditional Superman type story but that would have just made it another Superman/Girl movie. It's all about finding her place, and that she did well. All the lead characters were good and I don't think it's done any harm to the franchise, (from my point of view). Well worth the watch
- Andy Griffin15h agoI’m not a big superhero fan but all the other supergirl characters have looked at least attractive. Nowadays they have trans people playing these characters, not impressed. Disappointed in the songs shame on James Gunn and you will suffocate in space before you freeze and their isn’t any explosions where there is no air geez p.s. I forgot to leave a positive, it’s under 2 hours thank you movie gods!
- Enes Şahin22h agoI thought it was good. I liked that they brought a different perspective to Supergirl's story. I enjoyed it. I would have liked to see a short sequel scene when it ended. It's really interesting that I'm seeing so many ridiculous and bad reviews about this movie. I think it was better that they focused on the story rather than the action scenes. The acting was good and the effects were good too. It wasn't perfect, but I think it was above average. I think it's a big step in the DC universe. The story was good and well-acted. I wasn't bored at all while watching it. On the contrary, it was a fun and nice production that approached the concept of superhumans in a different way. If you like these kinds of productions, definitely give it a chance. I gave it an 8 out of 10. Enjoy!
