- Mill House5d agoLovely film, slightly daft, but well-acted and heartfelt. Tom Basden apparently wrote the songs, which are surprisingly good, and he plays very well. Carey Mulligan is also a very good singer, which lends an air of authenticity to the whole thing. If you like low-budget, well-acted comedy-drama, thus is for you.

All while being comedic and grappling with the past! Such a uniquely sad and annoying character. The Brits are very good at that! Hilarious in the most tiresome way The lantern-tracking shot was very neat. Loved the music! Beautiful film! Added to 2025 Ranked
