Buck is a big-hearted dog whose blissful domestic life is turned upside down when he is suddenly uprooted from his California home and transplanted to the exotic wilds of the Yukon during the Gold Rush of the 1890s. As the newest rookie on a mail delivery dog sled team—and later its leader—Buck experiences the adventure of a lifetime, ultimately finding his true place in the world and becoming his own master.

I couldn't continue for two reasons: 1. The dog CGI was terrible. How much can they endow human-like emotions and actions on a friggin dog before somebody notices and puts a stop to it?? Clearly this film isn't the place. 2. And worst of all, like every damn movies these days, the girl is always one step ahead of the (black) man. Every damned movie: White guy at the front, then the girl, then the black guy who's being dragged by the balls by the girl (usually white girl). That's the contemporary agenda-driven (and racist) formula. Listen, girls don't know which way is up. If they did, they'd build bridges, cars, ships, trains, skyscrapers, roads, houses, etc. Girls don't do anything useful except squeezing out babies who will one day become men. That is it. Watching every fable where all women and girls are brilliant and men are dumb/deaf/blind (especially the black men) is a pure feminist wet dream. Say something about this travesty and you'll get the preprogrammed, "You're insecure!" or some other feminist drivel. Not even Jack London's material can see past today's gender politics. It makes me sick. A good treatment of this American classic will have to wait past extracting this feminist tumor Hollywood has metastasized, or maybe I can watch one of the other 'The Call of the Wild' films from the past. This ain't it. One star for the insult... The second star is for Harrison and Omar Sy. They were excellent, but they couldn't beat the heavily doctored material. I couldn't get past twenty minutes.
