My quick rating - 5.8/10. A very simple yet believable nightmare falls upon a town in the form of a virus that basically eats the living objects it touches. So, a book that can swallow a person is not the part I call believable, it is how the community reacts to it. The panic that overcomes everyone is so well done, and I wouldn't think would be too far off. Really much more of a thriller. It has a good pace and decent acting, although sometimes a bit over the top, but overall, a frightening vision back in the late 80s that even now is still pretty scary stuff. Check it out.
