There's so many avenues the film could have taken to elevate what is a fun mathematical idea, but sadly it falls flat. The film makers seemed to really want to show you the office our characters work in, rather than lean more into the lore of what's going on below. Great monster effects, it's just a shame we didn't get a little more. Also, you got to love that they needed to move the plot along, so insert man who was in a car crash and is now a genius. Finally, Steven is a useless character. He serves very little purpose other than standing outside a school for 10 minutes of the film; Mom should have just left him there!
