Where to Watch The Crow
- TaylorOctober 9, 2024Unlike most people, I genuinely enjoyed this movie. It was beautifully shot, had a killer soundtrack, and the chemistry between the lead actors? Electrifying. Their performances pulled me in, making the lighter, more tender moments on screen together shine even brighter, which was hauntingly beautiful in contrast to the overall dark and moody tone of the film. That being said, I would’ve loved to give this movie a solid 10/10, especially considering how badly it’s getting review-bombed, but there were a few minor moments at the opera where Bill’s performance felt a little off. These were small, almost inconsequential moments that came across a bit cringe. While minor, it was enough for me to drop my score from a perfect 10 to a 9. However, based on his previous roles, it’s pretty clear he’s a top-tier actor, which is why I think this… is totally on the director—either through bad direction or not simply not catching it in post. Despite those minor flaws, if you haven’t seen the original or simply like the cast? The movie is an absolute must-watch. It’s got the right mix of style and substance to stand out, and given how swift the public was to dismiss it after the first trailer dropped, maybe it was always destined to become another cult classic, in its own right.
- ርልዪረJanuary 27, 2025🐦⬛ Is a 1994 American superhero film directed by Alex Proyas and written by David J. Schow and John Shirley, based on the 1989 comic book series by James O'Barr. It stars Brandon Lee, in his final film appearance, as Eric Draven, a rock musician who is resurrected from the dead to seek vengeance against the gang who murdered him and his fiancée. Lee was fatally wounded by a prop gun during filming. As he had finished most of his scenes, the film was completed through script rewrites, a stunt double and digital effects. After Lee's death, Paramount Pictures opted out of distribution and the rights were acquired by Miramax Films. The film is dedicated to Lee and his fiancée, Eliza Hutton. The Crow was released in the United States on May 13, 1994, and received positive reviews. It grossed $94 million on a $23 million budget and has gained a cult following. The success led to a media franchise that includes the sequels The Crow: City of Angels (1996), The Crow: Salvation (2000), and The Crow: Wicked Prayer (2005). The sequels, which mostly featured different characters and none of the original cast members, were unable to match the success of the first film. A remake of The Crow is set for release in 2024. With a glorious transfer and a perfect package steel book this film is a must for any film fan.
