A small movie with a fun premise and capable small cast. Goldblum is entertaining and excellent in the main role, and tying the overall story to a simple tale of love works great. The makeup is top tier, and really makes the movie. Because of the way the transformation occurs, there's some moral ground left unexplored.
I enjoyed this movie. I usually don't like monster films, but this one had a scientific and suspense type of vibe. The plot kept me watching.
Disturbing, gross, and tragic. But also interesting.
