Two professional killers invade a small town and kill a gas station attendant, "the Swede," who's expecting them. Insurance investigator Reardon pursues the case against the orders of his boss, who considers it trivial. Weaving together threads of the Swede's life, Reardon uncovers a complex tale of treachery and crime, all linked with gorgeous, mysterious Kitty Collins.
Based on Ernest Hemingway's story, The Killers is a definitive film noir starring Burt Lancaster and Ava Gardner in one of their best roles. Additionally the film was directed by Robert Siodmak who was known as one of the best film noir directors of his time. I never get tired of seeing this classic and highly recommend it!

The use of light with the black and white to stage some of the scenes was fantastic. The story held my interest, and the acting was good, with mostly believable characters.
