Overly sentimental, forced emotion, decidedly am-dram and far too quaint. On far too many occasions, I felt scenes were created for effect, rather than creating coherence, insincerely trying to tug at the heart strings in some kind of emotional blackmail. And if a scene wasn't doing that, it seemed an endless search for metaphors instead. It also suffers from a decidedly rose tinted view of human nature, and, I might add, a weird fondness and celebration of social media mixed in. Sappy nonsense that even Spall can't save.

🚌A very touching story, you may wish to watch a similar true story about Harold Fry
