This was a delight.
Reminds me of some early Waititi movies like Hunt for the Wilderpeople. Plus I just love watching Willem Dafoe in movies.
Great wired family movie. Nice puppeteering if the Ochi creatures that reminds me of E.T., or some 80s classics. Only problem is that the dialog is low and hard to understand. Could be the accent of the actors or the audio mixing.
This felt like many great movies from the 80s and 90s, totally child friendly and fun. I've read a few reviews on here... 99% of people reviewing movies on plex are negative reviews. I didn't find much to complain about during this. I'm 48 and would love to see more nostalgic type films like this. 👍 thumbs-up 👍
It's like A24 distilled the favorite movies that their millennial follower grew up with, color graded it to match, cast a couple of home run favs, and hit send, so those followrs could then share it with their kids.
A geeat story and substory the girl empatyze with baby watch becouse the mon abandon her so she saw all the lies about ochi and start to put the abby and the mon together so they start a friendship there a lot lessons in this movie and they did a great job ending about nature love and forgive the casting was great thanks for this.
I really wanted to like this movie, but it was just weird. It's visually beautiful, but everything else is off. Hard to put my finger on why.
Worth watching but a little hard to follow in the beginning!! I love William Defoe so I was going to watch no matter what and it was worth the time!
I really didn't like this movie. They tried to make this like a mix between E.T. and some Wes Anderson movie but the main character was boring and the "Ochi's" were boring too.
How to Train Your Dragon, but with Gizmo from Gremlins, and directed by Wes Anderson.
I'm good if I NEVER hear another flute solo for the rest of my life.
This movie felt like a time warp back to the 80s but with a Wes-Anderson-like twist. The story itself lacked a bit of depth IMO but if you're just in for the ride and the beautiful landscapes you'll be entertained.
