- Carter4d agoOn another rewatch, The Meg is still a over the top ridiculous, fun movie. Positives: - The movie is well made, well directed, well shot, well edited, and well paced - The CGI for the Megalodon looks great - The movie delivers on it’s premise and what it sets out to do - The Meg eating people - The action sequences are dumb but a lot of fun Negatives: - The movie is very generic - The characters are very dull and generic - It’s really just Jason Statham doing his action movie under a Meg skin - The performances are fine at best Overall The Meg is a fun summer blockbuster. If you like shark movies or Jason Statham action movies I recommend this to you.
- ZokkiieJuly 15, 2025It is big, dumb, and totally fun. Jason Statham takes on a giant prehistoric shark, and that’s really all you need to know. The story’s predictable, the characters are thin, and the science is nonsense—but who cares? It’s a wild ride with just the right mix of chaos and charm. Not a masterpiece, but if you're in the mood for some over-the-top shark mayhem, it delivers. Grab snacks, switch off your brain, and enjoy.

FordJune 29, 2025If you ever wanted to see what Jaws could have been with modern filming techniques and technology.....this is the film.....awesome storyline.....awesome cinematography...awesome special effects....the dullest part of this movie is the acting....Some of the actors just didn't seem to bring it for me (which is why I can't call it a modern day classic).....the comedy wasn't really necessary and for me it hurt the flow of the movie....All and all, it's a great movie to start a movie night with.....it's a definite popcorn and soda flick....If possible, watch on the biggest screen you can find and turn the sound waaaaay up.....Thank me later!!!!
