The Philadelphia Experiment
- What should have been a cool mad scientist sci-fi thriller, with the B story romance puttering in the background, instead lets the B story completely take over, putting the main plot on the backburner. The result is an excruciating slow burn melodrama of Nancy Allen helping Michael Paré in his fish-out-of-water struggle, focusing mostly on their growing romance (romance? Stockholm syndrome, anyone?) in a wannabe character study, intermitently interwoven with small drips from the main story – the one you actually came to see.
- A forgotten gem? First time I sae this must have been in the early 2000s. It was one of the earliest DVDs releases we had in sweden. Can't remember it more then I found it pretty good. But now I saw it again some 20+ years later and wow, I really liked it. Very good movie and should I say I must watch for any sci-fi/suspense fan?
