Where to Watch The Resurrected
- Patrick Wai1d agoA curious little B-movie that somehow feels like it wandered in from the late ’80s. The filmmaking is rough, the acting is mediocre at best, and parts of it have that made-for-TV B-movie quality. But the central mystery is intriguing enough to keep things moving. I especially liked the Lovecraftian elements and the sense that something ancient and deeply wrong is hiding beneath the surface. The underground sequence even has a little Indiana Jones flavor, which gives the movie a nice burst of adventure. Unfortunately, the creepy setup is stronger than the payoff. The final stretch gets muddled, and the movie never fully delivers on the mysterious atmosphere it creates so well early on. Not particularly polished, but weird enough to remain watchable. 5.5/10
