While Zach McGowan has the muscles, he doesn’t have the charm or wit that Dwayne Johnson brought to the role. He’s not bad, he's just stoic, and the script doesn’t give him room to loosen up. It makes for a bland action film, lacking the spark of fun that accompanies its standard fantasy-quest formula. It’s not bad enough to be fun, nor good enough to recommend.
